iPhone in latest Galaxy S II ad takes shots at Samsung - Samsung’s latest Galaxy S II commercial is filled to the brim with some smack talk about the iPhone, ranging from the mercurial nature of iPhone buyers. to gripes about shortcomings on the specs of their beloved phone. Needless to say, there doesn’t seem to be much love between these two companies. Well, this and the multitude of patent disputes they’re now clashing over all over the world. Thus completes the greatest jab against all things Apple in the latest Samsung advertisement featuring the Galaxy S II Android handset. Yes, the Samsung who’s currently at war with Apple in patent disputes all across the globe. Taking subtle shots at the iPhone is a common trope in smartphone advertising nowadays, but Samsung's dispensed with the subtlety and gone straight for the jugular. The Korean company's latest Galaxy S II promo is loaded up with some cutting anti-iPhone smack talk, spanning everything from the perceived fickle nature of iPhone buyers to the Apple phone's shortcomings on the 4G and screen size fronts. It's the most unabashed expression yet of the growing disharmony between the two companies. Well, this and the litany of patent disputes they're now fighting all across the globe.

Samsung LED Bulbs Coming To The US - The bulbs, which Samsung hopes Americans will be using in their homes instead of incandescent, halogen and CFL bulbs, are inspired by the South Korean firm's work in LED televisions, according to Kevin Dexter, senior VP of home appliances.
The A19 is a directional bulb that can be used in lamps, vanity lights and wall sconces, it's dimmable and Samsung are pricing it at $19.98.
Samsung, Rambus and Switch Lighting have all launched some new LED products. Switch Lighting has really impressed us with the announcement of the "first ever 100 watt-equivalent LED bulb".
Samsung might be known for its current lineup of consumer devices such as smartphones, notebooks and tablets. But the company also has other divisions that develop other products like LED light bulbs. The company is sharing its technology in this field and making them available for US consumers by bringing a lineup of energy efficient LED bulbs into the US.

Samsung NX200 lens camera - The NX200 is Samsung's latest applicant into the interchangeable lens (ILC) category. There are some cameras that we completely love, some we find absolute disappointing and others that get the job done, albeit with mediocre results. Samsung's digital imaging devices typically fall within that last category -- they're moderately original, generally reasonably priced and often well-designed, but when it comes to image quality and performance, we're left... underwhelmed. So, when we first had a chance to try out the CE giant's new NX200 at IFA in Berlin, we weren't expecting a mind-blowing imaging device.
The Samsung NX200 is the company's fifth NX camera but only the third body design, and represents a significant step up for the series. It's built around a completely new 20.3MP APS-C CMOS sensor and wrapped in the series' first all-metal body. The result is a handsome camera of similar size to Sony's NEX models but one that takes a rather different approach.
It's a mirror less model, to be more precise, and a fairly extraordinary one at that -- at least when you glance at the spec sheet. It's the company's latest ILC to use an APS-C size sensor, which is the largest we've seen in a mirror less cam. This sensor type implies that the NX200 may have a chance at competing with Sony's NEX-C3, which has been our top pick in the category, and its 20.3 megapixel rating suggests that Samsung wants to be taken seriously here, with a true contender on its hands. But has Samsung delivered a winner?
